Adapter plates for using universal carbon fiber mirrors that you can find on eBay and AliExpress. These mirrors have been tested for a few months and after vetting them, they can be considered a viable option. I designed these plates as a commission job for someone that already purchased these mirrors prior to trying to install them. There are several S2000s that are running these mirrors, and have resorted to just drilling an extra hole in their door. With these adapters no drilling is required.
There are several different variants you can find online, a cheaper $50-60 option that is hydro-dipped with a carbon fiber texture, or a $100+ version that is actual CF. Both are fine as long as you are buying the correct models with the “universal” bases that I designed these adapters for. Below you can find a couple of links for examples to purchase. These links are not the only source that you can buy these mirrors from, as it goes for Chinese replica parts, there are many sellers of parts that come from the same factory.
Hydro-Dipped
Real Carbon Fiber
Will include 8 M6 bolts, 4 to use with the mirrors to the adapter, and 4 for using with the adapters to the door. I highly recommend that you use the original M6 nuts from the OEM mirror as those already have flanges. The adapters have inserted M6 threads.
To save on product cost, they do not ship with a gasket, you can use any kind of rubber gasket material that you prefer. Tool box liner is a great option.
Printed in glass fiber reinforced ASA plastic. Heat and UV resistant.
