      <image:title>Projects - S2000 CR Shift Light - Make it stand out</image:title>
      <image:caption>It all started here with a proof of concept, I wanted to make a functioning shift light by telling the Arduino nano to turn on an LED when it receives X input. The Arduino lights up this 5V LED when it detects a certain signal from the tachometer wire of the ECU. In order to safely read the tach signal (which is 12V) I had added a voltage divider in-between the ECU wire and Arduino. Voltage Divider: 12V Pulsing Signal ---- R1 (4.7kΩ) ---- Arduino Pin (e.g., D2) | R2 (2.2kΩ) | GND</image:caption>

      <image:title>Projects - S2000 CR Shift Light - Make it stand out</image:title>
      <image:caption>To the right and down of where the green LED is sitting, is the prismatic lens for the security light. While I was mocking everything up I realized the slot for both are the same size and I could just move the lens over to where the CR light should be. I also did further research and found that the CR clusters have this same lens in both slots. Easy done.</image:caption>
    </image:image>

      <image:loc>https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/698284c91a931a187d12fc97/bfea6e59-4a02-4322-8cc1-1b7dd0759657/IMG_2479.jpeg</image:loc>
      <image:title>Projects - S2000 CR Shift Light - Make it stand out</image:title>
      <image:caption>This is the indicator plastic lens that I was mentioning in at the beginning. The circle for the security light is the small one to the right of the high beam. Notice how it is completely clear, this is because the prismatic lens diffracts the light and doesn’t need a colored or opaque layer. The same applies to the CR power indicator light, since it uses the same prismatic lens, I took acetone and slowly wiped away the paint to expose the circle to the right of the TPMS.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>CFD Particle Analysis of an AP2 without the deflectors installed. You can observe the streamlines passing the A-pillar remain relatively tight and "undisturbed" as they hit the side of the protruding edge of the hardtop.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Shop - S2000 Wind Noise Reducer and Anti Buffeting Air Deflectors - On the stock configuration, as the freestream air hits the windshield and spills outward around the A-pillar, it gets channeled between the A-pillar itself and the side mirror housing. This physical pinch-point acts like a nozzle, accelerating the air. That red strip is a high-velocity jet (nearing that 20 m/s mark) shooting straight back along the window opening. The buffeting you feel inside the car is caused by the extreme speed difference between that violent, fast-moving jet of air and the relatively stagnant air inside the cabin. That boundary (the shear layer) is highly unstable and collapses, throwing vortices right at your head.</image:title>

      <image:caption>CFD Particle Analysis of an AP2 with the APX Air Deflectors installed. You can see a noticeable "lifting" and outward displacement of the green streamlines right at the window line. This indicates a physical barrier (the deflector) is pushing the air away from the cabin opening.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Shop - S2000 Wind Noise Reducer and Anti Buffeting Air Deflectors - The air now traveling past the side window (towards the B-pillar line) is entirely in the yellow/green zone, meaning it has slowed down significantly to around 10–14 m/s. A slower shear layer means a much more stable boundary between the outside air and the cabin, which translates directly to a massive reduction in wind buffeting for the driver. It's a highly effective aerodynamic intervention.</image:title>
      <image:caption>The air now traveling past the side window (towards the B-pillar line) is entirely in the yellow/green zone, meaning it has slowed down significantly to around 10–14 m/s. A slower shear layer means a much more stable boundary between the outside air and the cabin, which translates directly to a massive reduction in wind buffeting for the driver. It's a highly effective aerodynamic intervention.</image:caption>
